Sporting Clube de Gaya made a substitution. Paulino Maltez replaced Pedro Domingues. Sporting Clube de Gaya's Wilfried Zaha was substituted for Rodolfo Pires. Paulino Maltez might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rosendo Oinatz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulino Maltez ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 70th minute Fredy Montero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Oinatz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sporting Clube de Gaya's António Trubin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Clube de Gaya from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Sporting Clube de Gaya's António Trubin got control of the ball when Rodolfo Abrantes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Fredy Montero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Clube de Gaya's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shiba & Doge Club™ the free kick. A collision led to Sporting Clube de Gaya getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Fredy Montero hit a great ball. Paulino Maltez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Rosendo Oinatz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 94 played minutes Sporting Clube de Gaya got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Eiró. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting Clube de Gaya's goalkeeper António Trubin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Sporting Clube de Gaya supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Shiba & Doge Club™'s performance.
