Boruc Brysz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but António Trubin made a huge save. Mao Zhen Hong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Domingues in the 15th minute of play. A hard shot 16 in the game by Boruc Brysz from a close distance when the talented António Trubin managed to make a qualified save. Sporting Clube de Gaya's players were relieved. António Trubin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabrício Lustosa in the 17th minute. António Trubin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Westerstrand in the 20th minute of play. António Trubin made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Boruc Brysz sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Boruc Brysz could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which António Trubin however easily saved by the left post. Sporting Clube de Gaya's Wilfried Zaha was substituted for Justino Cedro. António Trubin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rodrigo Mafra showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 34 minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Westerstrand came free, but António Trubin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sporting Clube de Gaya's Olaf Hager managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Simon Matsson in the 38 minute of the game. Mao Zhen Hong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Maltez in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Westerstrand came free, but António Trubin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boruc Brysz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but António Trubin made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulino Maltez was the one to do the kick off. António Trubin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boruc Brysz, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After 52 played minutes Sporting Clube de Gaya got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Eiró. 53 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goal looked a bit too open when Boruc Brysz came free, but António Trubin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. António Trubin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boruc Brysz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fredy Montero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Academia Monte Gordo made a substitution. Nurettin Doğan replaced Christian Westerstrand. Mao Zhen Hong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredy Montero in the 70th minute of the match. If Paulino Maltez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute Academia Monte Gordo were awarded a corner. Boruc Brysz went to the cornerflag to take it. Academia Monte Gordo's Boruc Brysz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but António Trubin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Arana Ponta took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised António Trubin. António Trubin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. 80 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goal looked a bit too open when Arana Ponta came free, but António Trubin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, Nurettin Doğan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. António Trubin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. António Trubin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nurettin Doğan, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The audience held their breath when Wilfried Zaha in the 93rd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Mao Zhen Hong's left hand side. Nurettin Doğan scored 6-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of António Trubin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Academia Monte Gordo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
