In the 13th minute Delfim Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Chuan Ran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Qiu Chuan Ran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Maia in the 17th minute of play. Alcino Malafaia's late challenge caught a Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alcino Malafaia helped the player get up and apologised. But to his dismay, Hüsamettin Civanmert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After the first half Lidador F.C. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gonzalo Lixandro to make the kick off. Tamás Albert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Lixandro, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Tamás Albert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Ventura in the 62nd minute of play. Delfim Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Kaspar Bruns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alcino Malafaia, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Delfim Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. made a substitution. Witold Piszczor replaced Victoriano Ubelteso. Lidador F.C.'s Danilo Pinho was substituted for Hüsamettin Civanmert. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Qiu Chuan Ran successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 88 minutes into the match, Raimundo Ventura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tamás Albert. Lidador F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raimundo Ventura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With a little luck, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Qiu Chuan Ran got control of the ball when Danilo Pinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gonzalo Lixandro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tamás Albert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
