Spectators: 10883 (Terracing: 8163, Seating: 2503, VIP seats: 217) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Toro Martínez kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Horácio Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fulgencio Furman kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Horácio Garcia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Selatse having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Horácio Garcia put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fernando Selatse. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toro Martínez got free with Emanuel Podgoreanu in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes in the game Ricardo Bochini did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Horácio Garcia. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Garcia in the 25th minute of play. Emanuel Podgoreanu came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez. But to his dismay, Toro Martínez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a little luck, Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Emanuel Podgoreanu got control of the ball when Arturo Arano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Toro Martínez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Podgoreanu having to make a save. 43 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Podgoreanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Horácio Garcia was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Garcia in the 51st minute of play forced Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Dominik Fink hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Despidida AFC's Emiliano Velasco was substituted for Toro Martínez. A collision led to Despidida AFC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Dominik Fink hit a great ball. Feliksas Fenichev kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Fernando Selatse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Tartalo in the 58th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Emiliano Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Podgoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66thth minute of the game Czeslaw Kopacz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Emanuel Podgoreanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emanuel Podgoreanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Czeslaw Kopacz's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Velasco in the 71st minute of play forced Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's goalkeeper Emanuel Podgoreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Despidida AFC booed when Acercate Y Patea de Lejos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yves Ayral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Podgoreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İdris Erginer, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Gervaso came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's goal looked a bit too open when Czeslaw Kopacz came free, but Emanuel Podgoreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Blas Guzman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Podgoreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Czeslaw Kopacz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
