The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fulgencio Eyague made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Ricardo Chepe sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peep Pronk in the 11th minute of play forced ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's goalkeeper Blas Colas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blas Colas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peep Pronk in the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Marin in the 16th minute of play forced AC LeX Luthor's goalkeeper Fulgencio Eyague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, AC LeX Luthor's Fulgencio Eyague got control of the ball when Jorge Joachim tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute Jorge Joachim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Eyague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Joachim got in the 29th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Fulgencio Eyague handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Jorge Joachim did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Fulgencio Eyague 29 minutes into the match. Peep Pronk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The throw-in from Rodion Nikitin in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Pastor Edorta. In the 38th minute, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Ovidio Marin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ made a substitution. Tiburcio Marques replaced Jorge Joachim.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Peep Pronk to make the kick off. Raimundo Padro made in the 55th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tiburcio Marques immediately put the ball in play. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ made a substitution. Cesar Quinto replaced Ricardo Chepe. AC LeX Luthor's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mario Yepes in the 62nd minute. In the 68th minute Tiburcio Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Eyague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Peep Pronk came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the AC LeX Luthor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peep Pronk couldn't finish the play. AC LeX Luthor's Zeledon Savion was substituted for Hermenegildo Ventura. AC LeX Luthor's Aristide Ciuvică was substituted for Peep Pronk. If Zeledon Savion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zeledon Savion's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Blas Colas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Zeledon Savion in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Blas Colas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fulgencio Eyague took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiburcio Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute Aristide Ciuvică shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blas Colas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AC LeX Luthor's Jose Galtero was substituted for Godfredo Oriche. After 93 played minutes ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ got a freekick which was hit by Ermegildo Dantel. Blas Colas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mario Yepes in the 93rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aristide Ciuvică got free with Blas Colas in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Blas Colas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodion Nikitin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ had won after a very even match.
