Thiago Silvan kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Augusto Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiaguinho Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gracie Barra's Falcão Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dagoberto Dracena in the 27th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Thiago Silvan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the match, Trindade Atlético Club's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Saldanha came free, but Tiaguinho Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 minutes Trindade Atlético Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rubens Rezende who took care of the corner kick. In the 43rd minute, Trindade Atlético Club's Víktor Magalhães ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Falcão Cunha. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Saldanha in the 46th minute of play forced Trindade Atlético Club's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Dagoberto Dracena kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Falcão Cunha. That made the score 2-2 in the 47 minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Víktor Magalhães stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Falcão Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Víktor Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiaguinho Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Saldanha's shot from short distance in the 79th minute.
