Percy Fernandez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Doriva Tavares showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 14 minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Neycho Mudrov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Percy Fernandez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vinícius Junior could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Percy Fernandez made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
