The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Eleuterio Galo put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Oséas Bezerra. Adilson Andrade blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oséas Bezerra having to make a save. Oséas Bezerra was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Eleuterio Galo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eleuterio Galo really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaston Zárate got free with Oséas Bezerra in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaston Zárate received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oséas Bezerra came out and tried to block the shot, but Gaston Zárate slotted it home off the left post making it 6-0 in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Maripá-PR's zone, Wander de Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oséas Bezerra came out of the goal and Wander de Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oséas Bezerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Zárate, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After 37 minutes, Eleuterio Galo made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Maripá-PR's Oséas Bezerra tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Maripá-PR's goalkeeper Oséas Bezerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eleuterio Galo. In the 46thth minute of the game Gaston Zárate who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maripá-PR's Oséas Bezerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 9-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eleuterio Galo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. It was a well-played corner which Birr Jameson managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 86th minute, Caner Timurhan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santos City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 14-0. Oséas Bezerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caner Timurhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santos City were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Maripá-PR's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Umberto Mangueira took the corner. Santos City's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
