Ariel Balboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Cochrane, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. FSX UNITED's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Evelio Matetich in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Ariel Balboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Svend Betz in the 57th minute. Evelio Matetich could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Ariel Balboa made a huge save. U. de Tarapacá's Orfilio Orbañanos was substituted for Domingo Barcena. FSX UNITED were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after U. de Tarapacá's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Evelio Matetich took the corner. The corner led FSX UNITED's Zebastian Spets to fire away a dangerous shot which Ariel Balboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. FSX UNITED's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Karl-Åke Kvist in the 68th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the FSX UNITED players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
