But to his dismay, Orfilio Orbañanos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ariel Balboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pan Lin Zhen in the 22nd minute of play. José Luis Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orfilio Orbañanos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ariel Balboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pan Lin Zhen's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. José Luis Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orfilio Orbañanos in the 37th minute of the match. Muharrem Duman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. José Luis Chilavert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. U. de Tarapacá's Ariel Balboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pan Lin Zhen in the 44th minute of play. In the 45thth minute of the game Pan Lin Zhen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U. de Tarapacá's Ariel Balboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 46th match minute, U. de Tarapacá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by León Philippi to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orfilio Orbañanos to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, CRUZ DEL SUR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artaç Yavuzalp to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goal looked a bit too open when Pan Lin Zhen came free, but Ariel Balboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ariel Balboa was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Domingo Barcena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Luis Chilavert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Wiliam Peren's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ariel Balboa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ariel Balboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustacio Antonucci in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute Eustacio Antonucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Balboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Rafael Demanet got away a dangerous shot. Despite this José Luis Chilavert quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ariel Balboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustacio Antonucci, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. U. de Tarapacá's Ariel Balboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustacio Antonucci in the 95th minute of play. Ariel Balboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustacio Antonucci, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. CRUZ DEL SUR had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
