In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Deportivo Diagüita's goalkeeper Mariano Lepe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ksawery Witkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorino Peake in the 16th minute of play. After 18 minutes of play, Magallanes's Juan Mondaca made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mariano Lepe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Magallanes's Ksawery Witkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentín Diban in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th minute Mathieu De Winter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ksawery Witkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Club Deportivo Diagüita booed when Magallanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loukas Vasdekis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Lepe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juan Mondaca went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 40th minute Magallanes were awarded a corner. Seran Turres went to the cornerflag to take it. After having played for 42 minutes, Juan Mondaca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magallanes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Mondaca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Deportivo Diagüita's goalkeeper Mariano Lepe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Mondaca was the one to do the kick off. Mariano Lepe came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Magallanes's Juan Mondaca. But to his dismay, Juan Mondaca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Ksawery Witkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Peake, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute of the match, Victorino Peake tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ksawery Witkowski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 57 minutes into the match, Magallanes's goal looked a bit too open when Victorino Peake came free, but Ksawery Witkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Lepe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Mondaca, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. With a little luck, Magallanes's Ksawery Witkowski got control of the ball when Emilio Felipe Ancavil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Magallanes's Alejandro Campbell was substituted for Loukas Vasdekis. Magallanes made a substitution. Kadim Sebil replaced Juan Mondaca. Club Deportivo Diagüita were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Magallanes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emilio Felipe Ancavil took the corner. The Ksawery Witkowski was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Kadim Sebil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mariano Lepe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute Magallanes were awarded a corner. Seran Turres went to the cornerflag to take it. Mariano Lepe came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Magallanes's Kadim Sebil. But to his dismay, Kadim Sebil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 82ndth minute Guille Aravena easily got through Club Deportivo Diagüita's defense and fired away a shot, but Mariano Lepe leaped left and performed a fabulous save. Mariano Lepe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kadim Sebil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kadim Sebil scored 6-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mariano Lepe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ksawery Witkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Felipe Ancavil in the 90th minute of play. Ksawery Witkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt Hedlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Magallanes support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
