Waldo Ponce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alejandro Martxelin might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Waldo Ponce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alejandro Martxelin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th minute, Alejandro Martxelin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capo de Provincia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Waldo Ponce came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Capo de Provincia's Alejandro Martxelin. But to his dismay, Alejandro Martxelin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Alejandro Martxelin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldo Ponce having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Capo de Provincia's Alejandro Martxelin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Waldo Ponce. That made the score 5-0 after 38 minutes of play. If Alejandro Martxelin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 42nd minute Alejandro Martxelin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldo Ponce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alejandro Martxelin was the one to do the kick off. Waldo Ponce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alejandro Martxelin went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Waldo Ponce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alejandro Martxelin's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Alejandro Martxelin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Capo de Provincia made a substitution. Eder Garland replaced Fazil App. César Pretot kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Christiano Cabañas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waldo Ponce. Valpo UXX's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christiano Cabañas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christiano Cabañas in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldo Ponce saved Valpo UXX from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Valpo UXX's Bernardo Cuadrado got a free kick in the 74th minute. Waldo Ponce came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Capo de Provincia's Christiano Cabañas. But to his dismay, Christiano Cabañas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. Eder Garland kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. If Christiano Cabañas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Valpo UXX's zone, Salvador López stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldo Ponce came out of the goal and Salvador López tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Christiano Cabañas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Waldo Ponce was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. The supporters of Capo de Provincia booed when Valpo UXX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danél Wheeler didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Valpo UXX's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Jiménez came free, but Waldo Ponce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Capo de Provincia's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
