The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 12 minutes into the game, Cobresal's Gregorio Quintero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Qi Guo Yue made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 18 played minutes Torreoncito got a freekick which was hit by Enmanuel Escerza. In the 21st match minute, Torreoncito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolf Uchiha to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Quintero in the 22nd minute of play forced Torreoncito's goalkeeper Qi Guo Yue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Torreoncito's Enmanuel Escerza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ionuț Aluneanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Torreoncito were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Cobresal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abelado Masson took the corner. After taking down the ball on Torreoncito's corner Kaljo Kravik fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ionuț Aluneanu quite easily take care of the ball. Enmanuel Escerza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Gregorio Quintero made a precise shot to the right of Qi Guo Yue. Torreoncito's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Ionuț Aluneanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elodio Faine in the 42nd minute of the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Enmanuel Escerza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Torreoncito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enmanuel Escerza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gregorio Quintero made a kick off. In the 56th minute Elodio Faine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionuț Aluneanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Torreoncito booed when Cobresal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Diaz de Valdes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torreoncito made a substitution. Pedro Olguín replaced Enmanuel Escerza. Torreoncito's Rufino Narea was substituted for Jeremías Basabilvaso. Danilo Diaz de Valdes kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute of the match Cobresal got a corner. Torreoncito's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Augusto Pirinchev ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Cobresal's zone, Pedro Olguín stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ionuț Aluneanu came out of the goal and Pedro Olguín tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cobresal's Nunez Gipuzkoa was substituted for Augusto Pirinchev. The audience was convinced that Pedro Olguín's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ionuț Aluneanu was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Pedro Olguín fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionuț Aluneanu having to interfere. Cobresal made a substitution. Juan Raúl Papic replaced Dino Scapini. Cobresal's Ionuț Aluneanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Olguín in the 74th minute of play. Gregorio Quintero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 77 played minutes Cobresal got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Vildosola. When Torreoncito's Christian Domeyco in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cobresal's goalkeeper Ionuț Aluneanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Cobresal's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Olguín came free, but Ionuț Aluneanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 minutes Cobresal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Abelado Masson who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Abelado Masson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cobresal's Ionuț Aluneanu did a great save. Torreoncito's Qi Guo Yue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Raúl Papic in the 91st minute of play. The Torreoncito supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cobresal's performance. The match ended with a win for Cobresal.
