Patryk Bryk hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Ilkka Markkula showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enmanuel Escerza, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Qi Guo Yue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Tupper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yu Chen Cheng's late challenge caught a Club Deportes Santa Cruz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yu Chen Cheng helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Club Deportes Santa Cruz booed when Torreoncito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yu Chen Cheng didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilkka Markkula showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enmanuel Escerza in the 15th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Silvio Navia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qi Guo Yue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvio Navia in the 24th minute of play forced Torreoncito's goalkeeper Qi Guo Yue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Gualberto Segura was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Torreoncito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Deportes Santa Cruz the free kick. In the 25th minute, Gualberto Segura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Qi Guo Yue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Tupper in the 26th minute of the match. The Torreoncito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Torreoncito's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Jacinto Gebhard scored to the left of an out of position Qi Guo Yue, making the score, 1-1. Silvio Navia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Qi Guo Yue made a huge save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Club Deportes Santa Cruz made a substitution. Yan Zhi Chuan replaced Podador Raheiro. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enmanuel Escerza to make the kick off. Qi Guo Yue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hüseyin Rahmi Toper in the 53rd minute of play. The throw-in from Gilberto Sandoval in the 56th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Torreoncito's Rufino Narea. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yan Zhi Chuan in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Qi Guo Yue prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 61 minutes into the match, Torreoncito's Rufino Narea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ilkka Markkula narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Enmanuel Escerza took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilkka Markkula. Ilkka Markkula dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. With a little luck, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Ilkka Markkula got control of the ball when Pedro Olguín tried to sneak it across the goal line. Torreoncito made a substitution. Jeremías Basabilvaso replaced Rufino Narea. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Ilkka Markkula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Olguín in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to Club Deportes Santa Cruz getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Trayko Gradinarski hit a great ball. Pedro Olguín kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Qi Guo Yue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvio Navia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Yan Zhi Chuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yan Zhi Chuan in the 85th minute of play forced Torreoncito's goalkeeper Qi Guo Yue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yan Zhi Chuan might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Qi Guo Yue. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yan Zhi Chuan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 86th minute Yan Zhi Chuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qi Guo Yue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Torreoncito's Pedro Olguín got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ilkka Markkula took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Olguín, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Torreoncito had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
