Spectators: 7700 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 100) Shohoku FC's Vladimiro Brzovic started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedro José Gamboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Tamariz Saul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 5 minutes into the game, Ariano Babarovic was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shohoku FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crucero del Sur the free kick. In the 5th match minute, Shohoku FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariano Babarovic to maneuver through the defense. After 6th play minutes Pedro José Gamboa shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Tamariz Saul and just under the crossbar into goal. After 9 played minutes Shohoku FC got a freekick which was hit by Quintán Garland. Orlando Byers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orlando Byers succeeded in the game's 15th minute to get real power on a long shot . Shohoku FC's Tamariz Saul hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 0-3! 18 minutes into the match, Pedro José Gamboa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tamariz Saul. Shohoku FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro José Gamboa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Shohoku FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Crucero del Sur:s goal. When Gaitano Lurquín fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shohoku FC's protests and gave Gaitano Lurquín a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Shohoku FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Gaitano Lurquín hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Shohoku FC's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Byers came free, but Tamariz Saul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narciso Mandiola made in the 30th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by José Marcelo Vildosola. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Byers in the 35th minute of play forced Shohoku FC's goalkeeper Tamariz Saul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th match minute, Shohoku FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Estevan Clavijo to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, José Marcelo Vildosola notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Shohoku FC's Tamariz Saul. Tamariz Saul was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tamariz Saul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Marcelo Vildosola, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When Fortunato Caso fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shohoku FC's protests and gave Fortunato Caso a yellow card for diving instead. Fortunato Caso kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The Crucero del Sur fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Crucero del Sur's Pedro José Gamboa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Marcelo Vildosola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Shohoku FC's Tamariz Saul got control of the ball when Orlando Byers tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Eliazar Buitrago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crucero del Sur's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliazar Buitrago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tamariz Saul breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro José Gamboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tamariz Saul having to interfere. In the 58th minute of the match, Abdón Baros got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tamariz Saul was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 58 minutes into the game, Estevan Clavijo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shohoku FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crucero del Sur the free kick. The supporters of Crucero del Sur booed when Shohoku FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Estevan Clavijo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tamariz Saul didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro José Gamboa went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. In the 63rd minute, Pedro José Gamboa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tamariz Saul was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. Shohoku FC's Tamariz Saul proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Shohoku FC from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute, Selmo Jaime hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Eliazar Buitrago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Shohoku FC's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Byers came free, but Tamariz Saul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 77 minutes, Vladimiro Brzovic managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shohoku FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimiro Brzovic was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaitano Lurquín was shown his second yellow card after 80 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 79th minute, one of Shohoku FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Shohoku FC. Tamariz Saul made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Pedro José Gamboa sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Marcelo Vildosola in the 93rd minute of play forced Shohoku FC's goalkeeper Tamariz Saul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tamariz Saul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Byers, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Estevan Clavijo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Crucero del Sur could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Shohoku FC throughout the match.
