When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Xacobo Barroso took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Tamariz Saul to make any attempt to save it. Tamariz Saul made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcel Blanco in the 11th minute. Tamariz Saul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdón Maeztu, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Shohoku FC's Tamariz Saul proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Shohoku FC from getting a goal against them. After 14 minutes of play, VILLANUEVA FC's Abdón Maeztu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tamariz Saul yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Tamariz Saul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xacobo Barroso in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Marcel Blanco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tamariz Saul was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Tamariz Saul was a little too slow when Marcel Blanco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 6-0. 27 minutes into the game, Xalvador Mac Kenney cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Tamariz Saul was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcel Blanco succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 8-0 in the 30th playminute. With a little luck, Shohoku FC's Tamariz Saul got control of the ball when Marcel Blanco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tamariz Saul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xacobo Barroso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the game, VILLANUEVA FC's Abdón Maeztu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tamariz Saul made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. In the 40th minute, Xacobo Barroso made a precise shot to the right of Tamariz Saul. Shohoku FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. Tamariz Saul came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by VILLANUEVA FC's Xacobo Barroso. But to his dismay, Xacobo Barroso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0. Tamariz Saul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdón Maeztu in the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Xalvador Mac Kenney made a precise shot to the right of Tamariz Saul. Shohoku FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 12-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 12-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vladimiro Brzovic to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Xalvador Mac Kenney ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tamariz Saul was frozen by the shot and now it was 14-0. VILLANUEVA FC's Xalvador Mac Kenney got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Shohoku FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xacobo Barroso came free, but Tamariz Saul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdón Maeztu scored 16-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tamariz Saul, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 68th minute, Marcel Blanco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VILLANUEVA FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 17-0. After 72 minutes, Jonatan Sanhueza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shohoku FC and the VILLANUEVA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of VILLANUEVA FC booed when Shohoku FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Sanhueza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tamariz Saul came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by VILLANUEVA FC's Xacobo Barroso. But to his dismay, Xacobo Barroso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 19-0. 82 minutes into the match, Marcel Blanco notched a goal, 20-0, to the right of Shohoku FC's Tamariz Saul. Tamariz Saul was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tamariz Saul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Blanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute, Xacobo Barroso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VILLANUEVA FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 21-0. 89 minutes into the match, Shohoku FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Blanco came free, but Tamariz Saul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute Xalvador Mac Kenney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tamariz Saul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shohoku FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xacobo Barroso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 23-0. There was no doubt that VILLANUEVA FC were the better team. VILLANUEVA FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
