Diego Armando Lamb started the match with the kick off. Timoteo Gartxot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. José Chilavert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th minute of the match, Pedro Tomás Talamilla tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tales Neiva saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Diego Armando Lamb could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Tales Neiva made a huge save. 13 minutes into the match, Algarrobo's goal looked a bit too open when Maurín Ferrel came free, but José Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Pedro Tomás Talamilla came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Algarrobo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Tomás Talamilla couldn't finish the play. After 20 played minutes Atlanticalvos FC got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Van Havent. 22 minutes into the game, Jack Madison recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tales Neiva. Jack Madison showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 30th minute Juan Ignacio Vera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tales Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Schaub in the 35th minute of play forced Algarrobo's goalkeeper José Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Atlanticalvos FC booed when Algarrobo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Federer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Czeslaw Gurgul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlanticalvos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Czeslaw Gurgul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Atlanticalvos FC's Tales Neiva got control of the ball when Diego Armando Lamb tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roger Federer kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Czeslaw Gurgul to strike the kick off in the second half. Tales Neiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Armando Lamb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tales Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Tomás Talamilla in the 73rd minute of play. Tales Neiva came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Algarrobo's Jack Madison. But to his dismay, Jack Madison quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Tales Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Cañas in the 77th minute of the match. Tales Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Armando Lamb in the 81st minute of play. Atlanticalvos FC's Tales Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Tomás Talamilla in the 82nd minute of play. Kris Leinatamm kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Edmundo Cañas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tales Neiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. When Diego Armando Lamb came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Algarrobo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Armando Lamb couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Atlanticalvos FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Algarrobo.
