Nicodemo Recalde acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 14th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Marciano Gibson. Henry Tucknott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atahan Hatemoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicodemo Recalde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Duguid, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leandro Pfingsthorn to make the kick off. In the 57th minute Xacobo Barroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Tucknott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henry Tucknott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xalvador Mac Kenney, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. General Velásquez's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcel Blanco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After a rather tough play, VILLANUEVA FC's Celino Alzerreca got a free kick in the 88th minute. The VILLANUEVA FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing VILLANUEVA FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
