Tamariz Saul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Kovasic, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Baudelio Saso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tamariz Saul. Shohoku FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baudelio Saso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Salvatore Acasuso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tamariz Saul having to interfere. Baudelio Saso succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-0 in the 33rd playminute. After 36 played minutes hdp got a freekick which was hit by Baltazar Arriaran. Pablo Victoriano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natanael Baesler, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. When Herminio Kovasic came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the hdp fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herminio Kovasic couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute, Balendín Warnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Natanael Baesler was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Baltazar Arriaran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tamariz Saul was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Baudelio Saso struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Tamariz Saul didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for hdp. Natanael Baesler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Pablo Victoriano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 69 minutes, Baudelio Saso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the hdp and the Shohoku FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Baudelio Saso hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Herminio Kovasic blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tamariz Saul having to make a save. Tamariz Saul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herminio Kovasic in the 71st minute of play. If Baudelio Saso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aureo Farfán made in the 78th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Baudelio Saso. Aureo Farfán charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aureo Farfán the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 80 played minutes hdp got a freekick which was hit by Aureo Farfán. If Baudelio Saso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baudelio Saso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A sloppy throw-in by Eleazar Marinovic in the 90th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Shohoku FC's Matias Paredes. Tamariz Saul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Kovasic, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. hdp had played much better football throughout.
