After 21 minutes, Marcel Blanco made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Football Fortress's Eleuterio Eleysegui tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Xalvador Mac Kenney sped through Football Fortress's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eleuterio Eleysegui. In the 30th minute, Xalvador Mac Kenney ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eleuterio Eleysegui was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. 32 minutes into the match, VILLANUEVA FC's Marcel Blanco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eleuterio Eleysegui narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eleuterio Eleysegui didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xalvador Mac Kenney went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. After 38 played minutes Football Fortress got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Benavides. Marcel Blanco struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Eleuterio Eleysegui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VILLANUEVA FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Xalvador Mac Kenney managed to get in a good position for a shot. VILLANUEVA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Xalvador Mac Kenney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eleuterio Eleysegui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 45 minutes into the match, Marcel Blanco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eleuterio Eleysegui. Football Fortress's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcel Blanco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-11. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-11 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute, VILLANUEVA FC's Xalvador Mac Kenney ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eleuterio Eleysegui. Eleuterio Eleysegui yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-12. 57 minutes into the match, Xacobo Barroso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eleuterio Eleysegui. Football Fortress's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xacobo Barroso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-14. A hard shot 60 in the game by Xalvador Mac Kenney from a close distance when the talented Eleuterio Eleysegui managed to make a qualified save. Football Fortress's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xalvador Mac Kenney got free with Eleuterio Eleysegui in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Xalvador Mac Kenney could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Eleuterio Eleysegui however easily saved by the left post. Eleuterio Eleysegui stood somewhat misplaced when Xalvador Mac Kenney came free in front of goal and shot 0-15 to the left of him in the 67 minute. When VILLANUEVA FC's Xalvador Mac Kenney in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the Football Fortress defense, Xalvador Mac Kenney kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eleuterio Eleysegui. The Football Fortress fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eleuterio Eleysegui should have stopped the shot. Abdón Maeztu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eleuterio Eleysegui came out and tried to block the shot, but Abdón Maeztu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-18 in the 77th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xacobo Barroso in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eleuterio Eleysegui prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The VILLANUEVA FC fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when VILLANUEVA FC's Xalvador Mac Kenney looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-19 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 85th minute, Pierre Diaz de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xalvador Mac Kenney who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Eleuterio Eleysegui when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Xalvador Mac Kenney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Eleuterio Eleysegui made a huge save. The Football Fortress fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. VILLANUEVA FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
