A sloppy throw-in by Bonifaco Montoya in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Danilo Mendonça. In the 4th minute, Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s Federico Lertora seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Federico Lertora the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Deportivo Damasco F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Federico Lertora had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Ádám Veress had in the 5thth minute some difficulties stopping Gasteiz Latorre's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Ádám Veress didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gasteiz Latorre went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Jeremy Avellana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Couto in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Deportivo Damasco F.C. getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Arturo Persia hit a great ball. A hard shot 20 in the game by Vladimir Couto from a close distance when the talented Jeremy Avellana managed to make a qualified save. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vladimir Couto in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremy Avellana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vladimir Couto took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeremy Avellana. Jeremy Avellana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vladimir Couto got free with Jeremy Avellana in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Gasteiz Latorre came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Club Dep. Soc. Rodo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gasteiz Latorre couldn't finish the play. Jeremy Avellana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s Ádám Veress played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gasteiz Latorre in the 43rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s Aldo Damasco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jeremy Avellana. That made the score 2-1 after 44 minutes of play. Deportivo Damasco F.C. made a substitution. Roman Corte replaced Aldo Damasco. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Anthon Öberg was substituted for Gasteiz Latorre. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Cao Kuan Wei was substituted for Marco Aguirre. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

After a rather tough play, Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s Prudencio Benino got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Anthon Öberg came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ádám Veress could save by the left post. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Guto Pirani took the corner. Montxo Cabero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute Vladimir Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Avellana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Anthon Öberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ádám Veress. That made the score 2-2 after 73 minutes of play. Jeremy Avellana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Anthon Öberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Ádám Veress made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Corte in the 83rd minute of play forced Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goalkeeper Jeremy Avellana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the game, Bonifaco Montoya threw the ball into play from the sideline. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Celso Trasloseros quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some careless play in the Deportivo Damasco F.C. defense, Anthon Öberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ádám Veress. The Deportivo Damasco F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ádám Veress should have stopped the shot. 91 minutes into the game, Vladimir Couto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Jeremy Avellana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s Ádám Veress got control of the ball when Anthon Öberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Deportivo Damasco F.C. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
