A throw-in in the 13th minute of the game was made by Guillem Bugedo with Montxo Cabero as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Edmund Piczak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guilherme Sarandeses, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Ádám Veress took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessio Punta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s Ádám Veress played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Rüdiger in the 63rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Vladimir Couto took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Edmund Piczak to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Deportivo Damasco F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
