Christophe Troxler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Christophe Troxler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fred Åkerström's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, Montevideo City Torque's Reuben Meade got a free kick in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Åkerström in the 31st minute of play forced Montevideo City Torque's goalkeeper Christophe Troxler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fred Åkerström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Åkerström got free with Christophe Troxler in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Roberto Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reuben Meade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute Reuben Meade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Roberto Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Reuben Meade made a precise shot to the right of Zé Roberto Teixeira. Playa Malvín's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The wind increased when Agustín Álvarez made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Montevideo City Torque's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Åkerström came free, but Christophe Troxler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 59 minutes, Reuben Meade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montevideo City Torque's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reuben Meade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Montevideo City Torque's zone, Fred Åkerström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christophe Troxler came out of the goal and Fred Åkerström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agustín Álvarez took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Roberto Teixeira. Zé Roberto Teixeira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 70th minute, Fred Åkerström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Playa Malvín's Josu Onez was substituted for Jabier Igual. Playa Malvín's Niva Espellosa was substituted for Fred Åkerström. Playa Malvín's Sesuldo Roque was substituted for Sandu Mândrilă. 77 minutes into the game, Niva Espellosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Christophe Troxler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Montevideo City Torque's Christophe Troxler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niva Espellosa in the 81st minute of play. Niva Espellosa scored 3-2 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christophe Troxler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Montevideo City Torque's Genaro Carredelo was substituted for Reuben Meade. Niva Espellosa scored 4-2 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christophe Troxler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
