Hubert Sharp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Wágner Recife came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Vancouver Reds fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wágner Recife couldn't finish the play. The throw-in from Róbson Queirós in the 10th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by AFC Richmond's Dorian Bray. Hubert Sharp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wágner Recife in the 12th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, Wágner Recife recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hubert Sharp. Wágner Recife showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. A collision led to AFC Richmond getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Sanford Glenn hit a great ball. Hubert Sharp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wágner Recife in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, AFC Richmond's goal looked a bit too open when Wágner Recife came free, but Hubert Sharp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 played minutes Wágner Recife rounded AFC Richmond's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. AFC Richmond's Hubert Sharp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save AFC Richmond from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute Veto Steller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santana Armada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 32 minutes, Veto Steller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Richmond's supporters crossed their fingers, but Veto Steller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute, Saverio Niva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute Wágner Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Sharp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute Vancouver Reds were awarded a corner. Cameron Leary went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Vancouver Reds's corner Cameron Leary fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hubert Sharp quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, AFC Richmond's Michael Laforest got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute, Vancouver Reds's Wágner Recife ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hubert Sharp. Hubert Sharp yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. If Veto Steller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelian Remus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wágner Recife stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Wágner Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Sharp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, AFC Richmond's Mitchell Baker ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Santana Armada. Santana Armada yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-1. 61 minutes into the match, Wágner Recife had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hubert Sharp. AFC Richmond's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wágner Recife was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Krystian Żmuda in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santana Armada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 69th minute, Veto Steller made a precise shot to the right of Santana Armada. Vancouver Reds's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. In the 75th minute, Krystian Żmuda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AFC Richmond were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Vancouver Reds's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Erasmo Merchant took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Erasmo Merchant got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Santana Armada quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. AFC Richmond's Dewayne Michaud quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Wiliam Xavier, made in the 80th minute of the game. A collision led to AFC Richmond getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Frances Pack hit a great ball. Santana Armada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krystian Żmuda, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Vancouver Reds's Santana Armada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Vancouver Reds from getting a goal against them. Hubert Sharp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Niva, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Saverio Niva's late challenge caught a AFC Richmond's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saverio Niva helped the player get up and apologised. Saverio Niva kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 97th minute Wágner Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Sharp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vancouver Reds's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
