Fenerbahçe S.K.'s Hoyt Cormier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Fenerbahçe S.K. from getting a goal against them. Eric Gary showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xiao Yun Jun in the 29th minute of the match. A collision led to Fenerbahçe S.K. getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Sherman Eldridge hit a great ball. In the 31stth minute of the game 蔡伟洲 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fenerbahçe S.K.'s Hoyt Cormier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 40th match minute, Jagiellonia Denver was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sun Lin to maneuver through the defense. Michal Majdoch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viorel Olaru hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Jagiellonia Denver's zone, Vadim Izvoreanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Gary came out of the goal and Vadim Izvoreanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilberto Fremont made a kick off. After 52 minutes Jagiellonia Denver's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vadim Izvoreanu who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Vadim Izvoreanu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eric Gary quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Xiao Yun Jun took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Eric Gary to make any attempt to save it. 67 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe S.K.'s goal looked a bit too open when 蔡伟洲 came free, but Hoyt Cormier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fenerbahçe S.K.'s Hoyt Cormier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michal Majdoch in the 76th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Fenerbahçe S.K. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Qiao Qi Bo to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Jagiellonia Denver booed when Fenerbahçe S.K. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Qiao Qi Bo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michal Majdoch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Hoyt Cormier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Fenerbahçe S.K. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
