Hanley Morrison got in the 10th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Isidoro Balboa handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Isidoro Balboa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hanley Morrison showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 12 minute of play. Hanley Morrison's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isidoro Balboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Hanley Morrison ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isidoro Balboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 21st minute Adnan Menderes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yánez Aldaeta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Norbert Gutiev got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Isidoro Balboa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 25 minutes, Ovidio Sarabia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Las Terrenas and the Club Atlético Univ. UASD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes Las Terrenas got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Sarabia. When Club Atlético Univ. UASD's Hanley Morrison in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Las Terrenas's goalie prevented a goal. Yánez Aldaeta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Emir Demirci in the 30th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Club Atlético Univ. UASD's Casimiro Villanueva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. A collision led to Club Atlético Univ. UASD getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Moisés Montoya hit a great ball. After 40 played minutes, Las Terrenas's Mario Friedman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Yánez Aldaeta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Las Terrenas reached it. Balduino Madrid charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Balduino Madrid the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Balduino Madrid hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Hanley Morrison received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Isidoro Balboa came out and tried to block the shot, but Hanley Morrison slotted it home off the left post making it 6-0 in the 43rd minute. In the 47th minute, Casimiro Villanueva fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Isidoro Balboa, passed just outside the right post. Omar Palma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Isidoro Balboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahmet Emir Demirci made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Univ. UASD's goal looked a bit too open when Adnan Menderes came free, but Yánez Aldaeta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Casimiro Villanueva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Las Terrenas's goalkeeper Isidoro Balboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Isidoro Balboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norbert Gutiev, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Balduino Madrid kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Gonzalo Archibeque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoro Balboa having to interfere. Las Terrenas's Isidoro Balboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casimiro Villanueva in the 67th minute of play. Isidoro Balboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Palma, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Villanueva in the 72nd minute of play forced Las Terrenas's goalkeeper Isidoro Balboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Palma might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidoro Balboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Omar Palma ran back to his position shaking his head. Adrián Ponce kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Casimiro Villanueva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Villanueva in the 81st minute of play forced Las Terrenas's goalkeeper Isidoro Balboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidoro Balboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casimiro Villanueva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Casimiro Villanueva in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidoro Balboa saved Las Terrenas from getting behind. Yánez Aldaeta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Emir Demirci in the 90th minute. In the 93rd match minute, Las Terrenas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Balduino Madrid to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Club Atlético Univ. UASD were the better team. Club Atlético Univ. UASD's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
