Spectators: 7760 (Terracing: 5985, Seating: 1755, VIP seats: 20) In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Defence Force's goalkeeper Grégory Sooklal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Defence Force's zone, Raffique Mannette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grégory Sooklal came out of the goal and Raffique Mannette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 6 played minutes Defence Force got a freekick which was hit by Anand Baboolal. Grégory Sooklal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raffique Mannette in the 8th minute of play. Standiford String Band might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Grégory Sooklal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Standiford String Band ran back to his position shaking his head. 16 minutes into the game, Raffique Mannette cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Grégory Sooklal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 18 minutes of play, Chaguanas Strikers's Raffique Mannette made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Grégory Sooklal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Grégory Sooklal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raffique Mannette, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute Krishna Bednob shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grégory Sooklal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Defence Force's Grégory Sooklal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raffique Mannette in the 25th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Standiford String Band in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Grégory Sooklal saved Defence Force from getting behind. Standiford String Band might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Grégory Sooklal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Standiford String Band ran back to his position shaking his head. Raffique Mannette scored 0-5 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Grégory Sooklal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Grégory Sooklal came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Chaguanas Strikers's Standiford String Band. But to his dismay, Standiford String Band quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. In the 40th minute Raffique Mannette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grégory Sooklal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Defence Force's Grégory Sooklal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raffique Mannette in the 42nd minute of play. Standiford String Band sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Chaguanas Strikers were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnold Scotland to strike the kick off in the second half. Krishna Bednob blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Grégory Sooklal having to make a save. 55 minutes into the match, Defence Force's goal looked a bit too open when Standiford String Band came free, but Grégory Sooklal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grégory Sooklal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raffique Mannette, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Defence Force's Grégory Sooklal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Standiford String Band in the 59th minute of play. Grégory Sooklal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raffique Mannette, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Standiford String Band sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anand Baboolal charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anand Baboolal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Defence Force getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Anand Baboolal hit a great ball. Grégory Sooklal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raffique Mannette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Raffique Mannette's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Grégory Sooklal was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Standiford String Band took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Grégory Sooklal to make any attempt to save it. 78 minutes into the match, Natasha Badree notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Defence Force's Grégory Sooklal. Grégory Sooklal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Grégory Sooklal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Standiford String Band in the 85th minute of play. Grégory Sooklal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Standiford String Band went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-10 was the resulting score. 94 minutes into the game, Krishna Bednob recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Grégory Sooklal. Krishna Bednob showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. Chaguanas Strikers's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
