Seating: 2162, VIP seats: 188) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Lawrence Sooklal made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Syne Village's goal looked a bit too open when Standiford String Band came free, but Cian Daoust reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Sinanan hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Lawrence Sooklal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Clyde Chambers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Standiford String Band in the 13th minute of play forced Syne Village's goalkeeper Cian Daoust to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Standiford String Band ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cian Daoust was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ian Greenidge hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Natasha Badree fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cian Daoust having to interfere. Natasha Badree sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A sloppy throw-in by Natasha Persaud in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Syne Village's Densill Granger. In the 38thth minute of the game Standiford String Band who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Syne Village's Cian Daoust was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Standiford String Band had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The wind increased when Standiford String Band made the kick off in the second half. Densill Granger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Lawrence Sooklal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Syne Village's supporters rose to their feet, but Lawrence Sooklal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clyde Chambers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ian Greenidge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clyde Chambers having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerry Toure during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Syne Village's Gerry Toure got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, Raffique Mannette got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Syne Village's Cian Daoust got control of the ball when Standiford String Band tried to sneak it across the goal line. Clyde Chambers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lawrence Sooklal went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Noor Le Hunte's late challenge caught a Chaguanas Strikers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Noor Le Hunte helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Syne Village's Noor Le Hunte got a free kick in the 74th minute. Cian Daoust showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Standiford String Band, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 82ndth minute of the game Standiford String Band who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Syne Village's Cian Daoust was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Lawrence Sooklal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Syne Village's Cian Daoust played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Standiford String Band in the 89th minute of play. Lawrence Sooklal took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clyde Chambers. Clyde Chambers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Syne Village had won after a very even match.
