Edgardo Silva ran back to his position shaking his head. Edgardo Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dale Kirkpatrick kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dale Kirkpatrick made a kick off. After 56 minutes of play, New England Minas's Edgardo Silva made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Drew Casey was left in no man's land by his defense there! New England Minas's Emmitt Benson was substituted for Alperen Öksüz. In the 64th minute Tio Lio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drew Casey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The New England Minas fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when New England Minas's Tio Lio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 75 minutes into the match, University of Rochester's goal looked a bit too open when Tio Lio came free, but Drew Casey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. New England Minas were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after University of Rochester's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lalo Rosas took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Glen Conklin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Drew Casey quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tio Lio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Drew Casey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tio Lio in the 79th minute of play. After some careless play in the University of Rochester defense, Tio Lio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Drew Casey. The University of Rochester fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Drew Casey should have stopped the shot. In the 89th minute, Ye Gang Cheng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute, Tio Lio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Drew Casey was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. There was no doubt that New England Minas were the better team. New England Minas's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
