Despite this Serafin Ruy quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the last second Lev Yashin throw himself and got hold of the ball when Kacper Literski in the 40thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Serafin Ruy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Angel in the 43rd minute of the match. Honorato Aznaro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Lev Yashin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Honorato Aznaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in América United FC's zone, Refugio Colsa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafin Ruy came out of the goal and Refugio Colsa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee gave América United FC a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dé Galvão, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Conjunto Paisa's Lev Yashin. 1-0. Conjunto Paisa's Freddy Roig was substituted for Fix Zubiaur. In the 65th match minute, Conjunto Paisa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Halit Fahri Berksan to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harriet Basabe in the 69th minute of play forced América United FC's goalkeeper Serafin Ruy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Tolino Larios was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. América United FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Conjunto Paisa the free kick. Serafin Ruy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lev Yashin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Till Lindeman in the 92nd minute of play. Conjunto Paisa were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
