After 6 minutes, Playo Mencia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ATLETICO HUILA F.C and the ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of ATLETICO HUILA F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦:s goal. In the 7th minute there was a penalty for ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦. Zacarias Zurbano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Beltza Morell. 0-1. Bonifaco Sovera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin van der Sar having to interfere. Saverio Alcocer hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute Gaspar Alborza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beltza Morell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beltza Morell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pero Falla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pero Falla took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Beltza Morell. Beltza Morell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Beltza Morell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pero Falla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, ATLETICO HUILA F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Pero Falla came free, but Beltza Morell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pero Falla made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Pero Falla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Pero Falla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, ATLETICO HUILA F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Pero Falla came free, but Beltza Morell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Edwin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bilbo Frecha in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Timeteo Hernani made a precise shot to the right of Edwin van der Sar. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Xandro Sarasola was substituted for Zacarias Zurbano. Beltza Morell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gartxot Villacorta's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 76th match minute, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xandro Sarasola to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute Bonifaco Sovera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 minutes ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ortzi Gustros who took care of the corner kick. At last the ball reached Juan Pablo Segovia at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦. 2-2. Bilbo Frecha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edwin van der Sar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gartxot Villacorta in the 94th minute of play forced ATLETICO HUILA F.C's goalkeeper Beltza Morell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
