The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, TiGrEs Fx was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Estevez to maneuver through the defense. Hermann Hesse came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by TiGrEs Fx's Alex Elenescu. But to his dismay, Alex Elenescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. TiGrEs Fx's Franc Merlot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Inguanzo in the 13th minute of play. Evelio Inguanzo might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Franc Merlot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evelio Inguanzo ran back to his position shaking his head. 17 minutes into the match, TiGrEs Fx's goal looked a bit too open when Evelio Inguanzo came free, but Franc Merlot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hermann Hesse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alex Elenescu in the 18th minute. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Erhan Eroğul quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Venceslao Espada, made in the 24th minute of the game. In the 24th match minute, TiGrEs Fx was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Estevez to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Elenescu got free with Hermann Hesse in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in TiGrEs Fx's zone, Evelio Inguanzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franc Merlot came out of the goal and Evelio Inguanzo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Evelio Inguanzo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franc Merlot was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. 33 minutes into the match, Rius Mascaran notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of TiGrEs Fx's Franc Merlot. Franc Merlot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Evelio Inguanzo came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Deportivo Popolizio FBC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evelio Inguanzo couldn't finish the play. After having played for 46 minutes, Evelio Inguanzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Inguanzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilberto Rancaño to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Evelio Inguanzo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franc Merlot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hermann Hesse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Rancaño, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Ceresso in the 60th minute of play forced Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goalkeeper Hermann Hesse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute Torbjørn Trondsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franc Merlot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Torbjørn Trondsen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Franc Merlot. That made the score 1-3 after 71 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Rancaño in the 76th minute of play forced Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goalkeeper Hermann Hesse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cris Ronaldo in the 80th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Blasi Asas in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermann Hesse saved Deportivo Popolizio FBC from getting behind. Gilberto Rancaño kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Gilberto Rancaño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Franc Merlot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erruki Velarroa in the 93rd minute. TiGrEs Fx's Franc Merlot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save TiGrEs Fx from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle sounded Deportivo Popolizio FBC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than TiGrEs Fx.
