If Adamantios Sfakianakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Adamantios Sfakianakis took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Nery Pumpido to make any attempt to save it. Baldomero Oskarbi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute, Fabio Huezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nery Pumpido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isaac Rivas in the 10th minute. In the 21st minute Zico Zellier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Oskarbi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimiro Kiliz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Nery Pumpido made a huge save. 29 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Kiliz came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, GuateFortín's Zico Zellier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baldomero Oskarbi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 35 minutes into the match, Nenushko FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zico Zellier came free, but Baldomero Oskarbi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute of the match GuateFortín got a corner. Nenushko FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roberto Trotta ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Roberto Trotta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Nenushko FC's Baldomero Oskarbi did a great save. In the 36thth minute of the game Máximo Perrone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nenushko FC's Baldomero Oskarbi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isaac Rivas. In the 47th minute, Máximo Perrone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baldomero Oskarbi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Máximo Perrone stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Máximo Perrone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zico Zellier's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Baldomero Oskarbi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Nenushko FC booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Najarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Ivan Isaia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nenushko FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Isaia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Isaac Rivas made a precise shot to the right of Nery Pumpido. GuateFortín's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. GuateFortín's Heriberto Correa was substituted for Angel Alvarenga. GuateFortín's Stanyo Búnkov was substituted for Rudy Sigaran. Nery Pumpido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Rivas, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 73 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Kiliz came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GuateFortín's Christian Najarro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Baldomero Oskarbi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 78 minutes into the match, Nenushko FC's Isaac Rivas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nery Pumpido narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zico Zellier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Oskarbi having to interfere. The throw-in from Sverker Markusson in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by GuateFortín's Claudio Cerritos. In the 90th minute of the match, Máximo Perrone tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Baldomero Oskarbi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Baldomero Oskarbi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Máximo Perrone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vladimiro Kiliz took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nery Pumpido. Nery Pumpido dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2.
