In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Club's goalkeeper Olavo Henriques, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lin Yan Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Kimetz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olavo Henriques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Estevez in the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goalkeeper Olavo Henriques had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonardo Tipi. Olavo Henriques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvard Võsandi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute Leonardo Tipi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavo Henriques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Les Tigres's Edvard Võsandi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olavo Henriques made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 30thth minute of the game Leonardo Tipi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Olavo Henriques was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Racing Club's Olavo Henriques got control of the ball when Severino Estevez tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Les Tigres getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Grzegorz Sokolski hit a great ball. George Orwel scored 1-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lin Yan Hong, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lin Yan Hong came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Racing Club's George Orwel. But to his dismay, George Orwel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Les Tigres's Rodolfo Luken was substituted for Silvano Ihazintu. The Les Tigres players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Racing Club were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonardo Tipi to make the kick off. Olavo Henriques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Samih, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, George Orwel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Racing Club made a substitution. Godofredo Remigio replaced George Orwel. Racing Club's Urbano Jago was substituted for Maksymilian Walaszkiewicz. Racing Club's Geronimo Salomone was substituted for Julian Tejerina. Lin Yan Hong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geronimo Salomone, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Olavo Henriques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvard Võsandi in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute Geronimo Salomone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lin Yan Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Les Tigres's Edvard Võsandi in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Racing Club's goalie prevented a goal. 84 minutes into the match, Edvard Võsandi notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Racing Club's Olavo Henriques. Olavo Henriques was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 87 minutes into the match, Geronimo Salomone dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lin Yan Hong, 2-4. Edvard Võsandi took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olavo Henriques. Olavo Henriques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. In the 93rd minute Geronimo Salomone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lin Yan Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paolo Ereinotz took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olavo Henriques. Olavo Henriques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4.
