When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Marcelo Vildosola made a kick off. Xacobo Barroso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tom Howard having to make a save. Tom Howard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xalvador Mac Kenney in the 58th minute. The audience was convinced that Xacobo Barroso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tom Howard was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. 64 minutes into the game, Gerardo Gazitúa threw the ball into play from the sideline.
