In the 11th match minute, Crucero del Sur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Víctor Javier Escobillana to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th match minute, Guaillane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Miguel Pincheira to maneuver through the defense. Guaillane's Mario Jesus Llana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Guaillane from getting a goal against them. Pedro José Gamboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Jesus Llana having to interfere. Silvio Ayerdi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Tom Howard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, José Marcelo Vildosola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crucero del Sur's supporters rose to their feet, but José Marcelo Vildosola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mario Jesus Llana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro José Gamboa took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mario Jesus Llana. Mario Jesus Llana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Pedro José Gamboa did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Mario Jesus Llana 32 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Guaillane's goal looked a bit too open when José Marcelo Vildosola came free, but Mario Jesus Llana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Crucero del Sur's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Orlando Byers in the 41st minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Guaillane's goalie and right to Eliazar Buitrago. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Guaillane's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The crowd rose to their feet as José Marcelo Vildosola kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mario Jesus Llana. That made the score 4-0 in the 43 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvio Ayerdi to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, José Marcelo Vildosola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mario Jesus Llana. Guaillane's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Marcelo Vildosola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 57th minute, Pedro José Gamboa made a precise shot to the right of Mario Jesus Llana. Guaillane's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvio Ayerdi in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tom Howard saved Crucero del Sur from getting behind. The Guaillane fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Guaillane's Silvio Ayerdi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Silvio Ayerdi hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, José Marcelo Vildosola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crucero del Sur's supporters rose to their feet, but José Marcelo Vildosola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timeteo Alcaide kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, Abner Berecedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guaillane's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crucero del Sur the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Guaillane fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! Mario Jesus Llana went to the wrong direction when Pedro José Gamboa was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Crucero del Sur walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
