Crew - Sim Updates

As a paying customer I need to ask you if we are going to see any SIM updates at the end of this season? or are any Sim updates planned for the future, if so have you got a time-line for these updates and when can we expect to see them?

I remember reading in the game notifications 7/8 season ago maybe even longer that Sim updates were on there way, what happened to these updates? as I've noticed no change in the SIM since I began playing the game in 2010.

Any answers to the questions above will be happily received.
Regards hooterman.

Changing a SIM is not something that will happen overnight. I doubt people are gonna leave if it's done correctly. This should be widely announced 3-4 seasons before so people got time to prepare. Then they can decide whether they do the final push with the team they have or cut the losses. At least that would be my approach.

Well they do beta testing and free challenge games to test the SIM but I know why they failed with this approach in the past and some people were angry, took me a while to understand it to be honest.

They do "challenge" games and we all know how inconsistent challenge games are, so when people tested the beta builds many were happy with it only to complain when it was finally implemented that the SIM was different to the beta, that was the main cause of dissatisfaction among managers.

How you get around that? I have an idea, crew could create "beta friendly leagues" and each league will have the same teams and played in two rounds as the official league, so people can properly test the game against teams they know and are familiar with and their feedback will be much valuable than if they did like in the past in which you would just "challenge" random teams. Then when the community is happy with a build implement it with a least a season time advance and give managers the chance to create "beta leagues/cups" (paying tokens ;-)

Anyway... I think that will generate some exciment and some extra $$$ as people WILL test a new build they know is going to be implemented. so there's some motivation for crew to do something regarding the SIM :)

I think the ideas and statements from both of you are really important, because many people have been waiting for an update for years. Just like other games that even do it monthly. We don't know the motives of those responsible. I suspect it may be due to the overall costs. But the question for me is, why are there so many other manager games that always manage to bring the latest updates?

I know many people thinks a game like this can't be succesful as people now wants faster games, phone games, etc....truth is there is a big market for slow managerial games despite all this, just check the games that most units sold in England: https://www.statista.com/statistics/1305904/uk-top-pc-games-by-digital-unit-sales/

5th game in the list if football manager 2024 which if you haven't played it is a slow & complex game with outdated graphics.... and this game sold 110.000 units just in England while MZ has something like 50 users.

I think the problem is that crew doesn't have faith on their own game, there's an audience out there for it but they have to reach it, if they don't make any effort to promote the game then they're setting themselves for failure.

The big truth, to be honest, is that the creators and developers of Managerzone have aged more than 20 years. And, as happens with the vast majority of people, over the years they lose that will and determination and become lazy middle-aged people.

Many now have children, others have grandchildren and as they continue to make money from their oldest, most loyal and persistent fans, everything is great for them.

What are they going to change for? After all, as the saying goes, you don't change a team that's winning. Personally, I have given up on expecting any improvement from this here.

I started in 2004 with my first team, played for 14 years, left and now I'm back with this team here and the years I was away (I think about 3 years) were replaced in less than 15 minutes as there had been almost no improvements .

Finally, I'm still here for nostalgia but I feel that every day the official end is getting closer.

This does not come directly from the crew. But much more from one (GPT-4 BOT)

According to my information, the development team of Managerzone has indeed announced some updates for 2024.

Here are the most important new features that are known so far:
Revision of the user interface for even more intuitive operation Integration of AI-supported analysis tools for a better basis for decision-making Expansion of the
interfaces to common accounting and ERP systems, improved collaboration functions for teamwork

Optimized performance and scalability for large amounts of data The exact release date of the updates is not yet known.

Well I asked CHAT-GPT about the new SIM and this is the reply I received:

Breaking News: The Long-Awaited SIM Update for ManagerZone – A Journey Through Time

In a groundbreaking development that's sure to change absolutely nothing, the long-promised simulation engine update for ManagerZone, initially slated for 2014, is rumored to be just around the corner... again! Sources close to the digital cobwebs covering the 'Coming Soon' sign have hinted that this update might actually arrive before the turn of the next century.

Fans of the game are overwhelmed with a mix of déjà vu and unchecked enthusiasm as they recount the numerous times they've been on this rollercoaster. One avid player remarked, "I've aged a decade, and all I've got to show for it is this same old SIM. But hey, who needs new features when you can relive the same season over and over?"

Stay tuned, as we bring you more updates from this saga—same time, next decade, on the legendary leap year that never comes!

It's not just about the sim update, which has challenged me again and again for years. It's also the inhumanity of suffering an injury from others and losing the fun of the game. These are also things that I have noticed here. And unfortunately, the people in charge find it very difficult to deal with this issue. This should also be taken into account much more.
