Aziz Rajah started the match with the kick off. Karim Ghazi made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Hidayat Leng sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Saltaire's Bartosz Karanowski got a free kick in the 4th minute. After some careless play in the Saltaire defense, Clive Chandran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karim Ghazi. The Saltaire fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karim Ghazi should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afiq Shyan got free with Karim Ghazi in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 13 minutes into the match, Clive Chandran dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Karim Ghazi, 3-0. Afiq Shyan hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Karim Ghazi made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Shukrie Ching sent off a good shot on target. Karim Ghazi was a little too slow when Clive Chandran got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 4-0. Saltaire's Karim Ghazi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Saltaire from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afiq Shyan during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, AMED's Afiq Shyan got a free kick in the 34th minute. After 37 played minutes Saltaire got a freekick which was hit by Leon Logewnik. Amadeo Carrizo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aziz Rajah in the 42nd minute of the match. Azam Low kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The corner led Saltaire's Leon Logewnik to fire away a dangerous shot which Amadeo Carrizo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Shukrie Ching to make the kick off. Karim Ghazi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shukrie Ching in the 62nd minute of the match. Azly Seng struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Amadeo Carrizo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saltaire. AMED made a substitution. Merlin Braddell replaced Azam Low. Asiz Chian charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Asiz Chian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 70th minute, Asiz Chian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karim Ghazi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clive Chandran in the 73rd minute of play. In the 79th match minute, AMED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clive Chandran to maneuver through the defense. Saltaire made a substitution. Jonathan Cheng replaced Merlin Boon. Clive Chandran kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Saltaire's Amadeo Carrizo threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aziz Rajah, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, AMED's Amadeo Carrizo got control of the ball when 龚明宁 tried to sneak it across the goal line. Karim Ghazi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Paine in the 86th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Saltaire's goal looked a bit too open when Gerard Paine came free, but Karim Ghazi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute Clive Chandran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karim Ghazi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Azly Seng got free with Amadeo Carrizo in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AMED had won after a very even match.
