With a left leg 李庭飞 saved Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as SALT's Hani Al Hashash slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of 李庭飞. That made the score 3-0 after 32 minutes of play. 李庭飞 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Salah Al Homaithe in the 37th minute. After 37 played minutes SALT got a freekick which was hit by Salah Al Homaithe. Gibrel Taqi might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 李庭飞. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gibrel Taqi ran back to his position shaking his head. 41 minutes into the match, Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's goalkeeper 李庭飞 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Salah Al Homaithe. The supporters of Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain booed when SALT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hussain Shadad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gibrel Taqi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hani Al Hashash made the kick off in the second half. Rajab Al Enzi charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rajab Al Enzi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th match minute, SALT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rajab Al Enzi to maneuver through the defense. 李庭飞 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rajab Al Enzi in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Khalaf Al Herz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adnan Al Motar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gibrel Taqi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rajab Al Enzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without 李庭飞 having to make a save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SALT:s goal. Yasser Shadad did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-1 to the left of a surprised Adnan Al Motar 85 minutes into the match. In the 98th minute, Rajab Al Enzi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SALT fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SALT fully deserved thier win.
