Salam Al Hashash kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. With a little luck, Al Wasl Dubai FC's Sten Zander got control of the ball when Salam Al Hashash tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yazeed Al Saleh. Yazeed Al Saleh dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Qutaiba Al Zamel hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's Sten Zander threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Salam Al Hashash, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Darweesh Al Sharah came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Al Wasl Dubai FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darweesh Al Sharah couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal in the 30th minute of play forced Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's goalkeeper Yazeed Al Saleh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Raed Kakoli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Zander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th play minute Yasser Shadad came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sten Zander. 1-1. In the 41st minute Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yazeed Al Saleh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darweesh Al Sharah in the 41st minute of play forced Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's goalkeeper Yazeed Al Saleh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ali Al Arbash to strike the kick off in the second half. Yazeed Al Saleh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's Khalaf Al Herz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sten Zander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salam Al Hashash in the 66th minute of play forced Al Wasl Dubai FC's goalkeeper Sten Zander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Al Wasl Dubai FC's Ali Al Arbash dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. In the 71st minute, Fahad Bo Hamad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ghazi Al Fadhalah managed to get in a good position for a shot. Al Wasl Dubai FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ghazi Al Fadhalah was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yazeed Al Saleh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sten Zander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yasser Shadad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darweesh Al Sharah in the 82nd minute of play forced Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's goalkeeper Yazeed Al Saleh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's goalkeeper Yazeed Al Saleh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal. Yazeed Al Saleh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal in the 87th minute.
