The audience thought a goal was coming when Shaheen Al Sherazi got free with Firas Al Dekhel in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Sten Zander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wasel Al Bahar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Wasel Al Bahar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Zander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Firas Al Dekhel was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Firas Al Dekhel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 30th minute, Ali Al Arbash hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute, Darweesh Al Sharah reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Firas Al Dekhel. The goal made the score 4-0. With a little luck, Sharjah FC's Firas Al Dekhel got control of the ball when Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute, one of Al Wasl Dubai FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Al Wasl Dubai FC. Sten Zander had in the 38thth minute some difficulties stopping Ayman Jiragh's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Al Wasl Dubai FC's Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sharjah FC's goalie prevented a goal. Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Firas Al Dekhel made a huge save. Sharjah FC's Firas Al Dekhel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darweesh Al Sharah in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Bandar Taiban made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Darweesh Al Sharah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 56 minutes of play, Sharjah FC's Wasel Al Bahar made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sten Zander was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ayman Jiragh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Sten Zander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Al Wasl Dubai FC's Sten Zander got control of the ball when Wasel Al Bahar tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darweesh Al Sharah in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Firas Al Dekhel saved Sharjah FC from getting behind. Ayman Jiragh's late challenge caught a Al Wasl Dubai FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ayman Jiragh helped the player get up and apologised. After 74 played minutes Sharjah FC got a freekick which was hit by Ayman Jiragh. Al Wasl Dubai FC were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after Sharjah FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ghazi Al Fadhalah took the corner. After taking down the ball on Al Wasl Dubai FC's corner Ghazi Al Fadhalah fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Firas Al Dekhel quite easily take care of the ball. Yousef Sarkhoh kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After 93 played minutes Al Wasl Dubai FC got a freekick which was hit by Ali Al Arbash. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sharjah FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Al Wasl Dubai FC.
