The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sten Zander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khalaf Al Herz in the 4th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's goal looked a bit too open when Darweesh Al Sharah came free, but Yazeed Al Saleh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's Yazeed Al Saleh got control of the ball when Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Al Wasl Dubai FC's Yazeed Al Saleh threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Darweesh Al Sharah, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Yazeed Al Saleh made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal sent off a good shot on target. Sten Zander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salam Al Hashash in the 28th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's goalkeeper Yazeed Al Saleh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ali Al Arbash. Al Wasl Dubai FC's Sten Zander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dawood Al Enzi in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Khalaf Al Herz notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Al Wasl Dubai FC's Sten Zander. Sten Zander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 39th minute, Monther Al Srae hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute, Eshaq Al Khars got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yazeed Al Saleh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raed Kakoli in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sten Zander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ali Al Arbash made a kick off. The supporters of Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain booed when Al Wasl Dubai FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ghazi Al Fadhalah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sten Zander was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Salam Al Hashash capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Salam Al Hashash really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Khalaf Al Herz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yazeed Al Saleh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal in the 60th minute of the match. Yazeed Al Saleh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Salam Al Hashash hit a great ball. Yazeed Al Saleh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Al Arbash, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Yasser Shadad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's supporters rose to their feet, but Yasser Shadad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sten Zander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th minute Darweesh Al Sharah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yazeed Al Saleh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yazeed Al Saleh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal in the 90th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded.
