Spectators: 10811 (Terracing: 8110, Seating: 2486, VIP seats: 215) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edu de Sousa kicked off to start the match. Johnnie Dobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivor Whitehead in the 6th minute of the match. Dennis Baldwin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perry Swanson in the 7th minute of play. UE Sant Julià were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after El Expreso's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ke Rong Zhen took the corner. Johnnie Dobson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhu Quan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Badilla in the 11th minute of play forced El Expreso's goalkeeper Dennis Baldwin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, UE Sant Julià's Martyn Smart got a free kick in the 13th minute. 24 minutes into the game, Perry Swanson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dennis Baldwin. Perry Swanson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Perry Swanson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dennis Baldwin was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. The supporters of El Expreso booed when UE Sant Julià was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bryan Hornsby didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Thanos Siokos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ke Rong Zhen, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 34thth minute of the game Perry Swanson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Expreso's Dennis Baldwin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 35th minute Perry Swanson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Baldwin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36th play minutes Perry Swanson shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Dennis Baldwin and just under the crossbar into goal. After 41 minutes of play, UE Sant Julià's Perry Swanson made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dennis Baldwin was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camron Langsford during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Camron Langsford hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Edu de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Perry Swanson to make the kick off. Dennis Baldwin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perry Swanson, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Aurelio Badilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivor Whitehead fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnnie Dobson having to interfere. After 59 played minutes El Expreso got a freekick which was hit by Ilie Negrescu. In the 59th minute of the match Ke Rong Zhen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dennis Baldwin skillfully saved the ball. El Expreso's Dennis Baldwin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perry Swanson in the 61st minute of play. After 66 played minutes El Expreso got a freekick which was hit by Edu de Sousa. After a rather tough play, UE Sant Julià's Martyn Smart got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 70th match minute, UE Sant Julià was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martyn Smart to maneuver through the defense. Thanos Siokos kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Dennis Baldwin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryan Hornsby in the 73rd minute of the match. UE Sant Julià's Perry Swanson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dennis Baldwin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Expreso's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ke Rong Zhen was slow to take the kick. During this time UE Sant Julià's players had a chance to rest. In the 80th minute, El Expreso's Edu de Sousa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. In the 83rdth minute of the game Perry Swanson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Expreso's Dennis Baldwin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 84 minutes El Expreso's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ke Rong Zhen who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to UE Sant Julià's Aurelio Badilla getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 88th minute, Perry Swanson made a precise shot to the right of Dennis Baldwin. El Expreso's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. 92 minutes into the match, El Expreso's goal looked a bit too open when Bryan Hornsby came free, but Dennis Baldwin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
