Gondor FC™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Myles Guy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. NK RIJEKA 1983's Dida Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Myles Guy in the 39th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Myles Guy in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dida Pontes saved NK RIJEKA 1983 from getting behind. Mirso Kalinović charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mirso Kalinović the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dida Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dida Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mino Suarez in the 68th minute of play. Romeo Mancio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dida Pontes having to make a save. NK RIJEKA 1983's Dida Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Mancio in the 71st minute of play. After having played for 73 minutes, Romeo Mancio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The audience was convinced that Romeo Mancio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dida Pontes was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. 87 minutes into the match, Gondor FC™'s Romeo Mancio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dida Pontes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, NK RIJEKA 1983's goal looked a bit too open when Mino Suarez came free, but Dida Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dida Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Mancio, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind NK RIJEKA 1983's goalkeeper Dida Pontes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gondor FC™ fans cheered their team off the field, for while NK RIJEKA 1983 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
