Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Davor Šuker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Davor Šuker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Burgas's supporters rose to their feet, but Davor Šuker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Erosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Davor Šuker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Vintilă Ghițulescu could shoot a difficult shot in the 85th minute, which Arturo Erosa however easily saved by the left post. Skull Team's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Vintilă Ghițulescu scored to the left of an out of position Arturo Erosa, making the score, 1-5. Arturo Erosa made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Beniamin Giejda sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Skull Team's Arturo Erosa got control of the ball when Vintilă Ghițulescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 95th minute Alarico Camarasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Perpiñán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sporting Burgas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
