The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind FK ORLOVI's goalkeeper Marin Pejaković, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Dobrica Maksić got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Nedeljko Simčević hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. A collision led to Maksimir getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Antonio Hrste hit a great ball. Danijel Petrlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dobrica Maksić made a kick off. Maksimir's Miodrag Rozga managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Nedeljko Simčević in the 52 minute of the game. 53 minutes into the game, Nedeljko Simčević threw the ball into play from the sideline. Maksimir's Miodrag Rozga quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danijel Petrlin in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Marin Pejaković was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Adrijan Grbović capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adrijan Grbović really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Marin Pejaković made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Adrijan Grbović sent off a good shot on target. Marin Pejaković didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrijan Grbović went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. Marin Pejaković showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrijan Grbović, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Maksimir eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
