Spectators: 9227 (Terracing: 6921, Seating: 2122, VIP seats: 184) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alessandro Buffone started the match with the kick off. Pär Are took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Di Matteo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pär Are made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yaniusky Pardo in the 4th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Coviolo's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Di Matteo came free, but Pär Are reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Coviolo's Pär Are got control of the ball when Arturo Di Matteo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pär Are made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Yaniusky Pardo sent off a good shot on target. 16 minutes into the game, Arturo Di Matteo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Pär Are was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ercole Carulli made in the 20th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Fabiano Di Nino however managed to control. In the 22nd minute, Arturo Di Matteo made a precise shot to the right of Pär Are. Coviolo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Coviolo's zone, Arturo Di Matteo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pär Are came out of the goal and Arturo Di Matteo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, Arturo Di Matteo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pär Are. Coviolo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arturo Di Matteo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Coviolo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Arturo Di Matteo scored to the left of an out of position Pär Are, making the score, 4-0. A sloppy throw-in by Ercole Carulli in the 36th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Calenzano's Ahmet Koralp Serbülend. In the 36th minute, Yaniusky Pardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arturo Di Matteo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pär Are came out and tried to block the shot, but Arturo Di Matteo slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 40th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabiano Di Nino during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Coviolo's Fabiano Di Nino got a free kick in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Coviolo's goalkeeper Pär Are had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arturo Di Matteo. Arturo Di Matteo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Arturo Di Matteo made the kick off in the second half. Pär Are didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yaniusky Pardo went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. After 58 minutes of play, Calenzano's Arturo Di Matteo made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pär Are was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the match, Quinto Ampudia notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Coviolo's Pär Are. Pär Are was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Calenzano's Quinto Ampudia in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Coviolo's goalie prevented a goal. In the 76th minute, Quinto Ampudia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pär Are was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. If Quinto Ampudia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. When Comunardo Chizzo came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Calenzano fans jumped to their feet. In the 89th minute, Ercole Carulli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the Calenzano players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
