Hawkcombe's Rudolph Hauck was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Patrick Stoffel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Hawkcombe's Henry Juncker got control of the ball when Hellmuth Otto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute, Lenny Thimmesch made a precise shot to the right of Patrick Stoffel. Gebrüdersdorfer SV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Patrick Stoffel made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Georg Schleck sent off a good shot on target. Hellmuth Otto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Henry Juncker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yannick Kremer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Juncker having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hellmuth Otto in the 72nd minute of play forced Hawkcombe's goalkeeper Henry Juncker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Fred Nosbusch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
