Eddy Diederich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmondo Venditti in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to LuxTor getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Wilhelm Traube hit a great ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Andre Fabel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LuxTor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andre Fabel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute Andre Fabel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Steffen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eddy Diederich came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Mondorf Forest's Edmondo Venditti. But to his dismay, Edmondo Venditti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. LuxTor's Eddy Diederich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmondo Venditti in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Vincent Hislop had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eddy Diederich. LuxTor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vincent Hislop was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Eddy Diederich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Linus Göbl in the 20th minute of the match. After 21 minutes of play, Mondorf Forest's Vincent Hislop made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eddy Diederich was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eddy Diederich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Hislop in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Ruben Schmit cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Eddy Diederich was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Mondorf Forest getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Jerry Hasselbach hit a great ball. The supporters of Mondorf Forest booed when LuxTor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andre Fabel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute Linus Göbl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddy Diederich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eddy Diederich came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Mondorf Forest's Ruben Schmit. But to his dismay, Ruben Schmit quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. After the first half Mondorf Forest were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andre Fabel made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Linus Göbl in the 53rd minute of play forced LuxTor's goalkeeper Eddy Diederich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmondo Venditti who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Eddy Diederich when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, LuxTor's Eddy Diederich got control of the ball when Linus Göbl tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eddy Diederich was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Edmondo Venditti capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edmondo Venditti really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. If Edmondo Venditti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mondorf Forest's Stefan Horowitz was substituted for Edmondo Venditti. Eddy Diederich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Gessler in the 71st minute of the match. LuxTor's Eddy Diederich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent Gessler in the 76th minute of play. Eddy Diederich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eddy Diederich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Gessler, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Stefan Horowitz scored 0-9 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eddy Diederich, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 90 minutes into the match, LuxTor's goalkeeper Eddy Diederich had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stefan Horowitz. Mondorf Forest's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
