Henry Juncker was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 7th minute Vincent Hislop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Juncker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Edmondo Venditti made a precise shot to the right of Henry Juncker. Hawkcombe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Henry Juncker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Hislop, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Martin Steffen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lenny Thimmesch in the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Mondorf Forest's Jerry Hasselbach got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute, Lenny Thimmesch reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Martin Steffen. The goal made the score 1-2. After 24 minutes of play, Mondorf Forest's Edmondo Venditti made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henry Juncker was left in no man's land by his defense there! Martin Steffen made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Julian Horowitz sent off a good shot on target. If Fred Nosbusch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Mondorf Forest's Jerry Hasselbach got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Henry Juncker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmondo Venditti, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Julian Horowitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hawkcombe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mondorf Forest the free kick. After 38 played minutes Hawkcombe got a freekick which was hit by Julian Horowitz. The supporters of Mondorf Forest booed when Hawkcombe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Schleck didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Mondorf Forest's Edmondo Venditti got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 42nd match minute, Mondorf Forest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Schmit to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Edmondo Venditti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mondorf Forest fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmondo Venditti to strike the kick off in the second half. Edmondo Venditti took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henry Juncker. Henry Juncker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Vincent Hislop blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henry Juncker having to make a save. 56 minutes into the match, Hawkcombe's goalkeeper Henry Juncker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmondo Venditti. Edmondo Venditti's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Henry Juncker firmly grabbed it by the left post. Edmondo Venditti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Henry Juncker made a huge save. Henry Juncker was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vincent Hislop showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 62 minute of play. Henry Juncker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmondo Venditti in the 66th minute. Linus Göbl received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Henry Juncker came out and tried to block the shot, but Linus Göbl slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 70th minute. Mondorf Forest made a substitution. Stefan Horowitz replaced Edmondo Venditti. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hawkcombe's goalkeeper Henry Juncker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 84 minutes, Georg Schleck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hawkcombe and the Mondorf Forest players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Hawkcombe getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Georg Schleck hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Vincent Gessler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mondorf Forest's supporters rose to their feet, but Vincent Gessler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henry Juncker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Hawkcombe's Henry Juncker got control of the ball when Stefan Horowitz tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Vincent Hislop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henry Juncker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stefan Horowitz went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-8 was the resulting score. When the final whistle sounded Mondorf Forest left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hawkcombe.
